Often, issues in the workplace cause personal conflicts between employees or between executives and employees. If such problems escalate, emotions can replace practicality. In these situations, the chain of command can fail, and the bullying or isolation can result. As a mediator in such situations, I help the individual or individuals concerned to return to constructive discussion.
To this end, I try to grasp the core problem behind the superficial issue, and try to understand what allowed such problems to grow. I speak openly and truthfully with everyone, which helps all parties involved to resolve and deal with the conflict. What is also important here, is the will to change the communication. My job is to be supportive and foster communication.
